With the financial assistance of a Booster Club Grant, the Oak Ridge After School Adventure Club traveled to Jackson Manor January 27 to spread some cheer after the holidays, when visitors tend to be more scarce. Students from kindergarten to sixth grade distributed 100 handmade tissue flowers, played their musical instruments, and sang songs.
This was the first chance for many students to experience community service—and for some of them, it was their first ride in a school bus! Students and residents enjoyed an exciting visit and look forward to repeating this adventure again.
