Congratulations to Aubrey Taylor. Her art was selected as one of the 100 finalists for “Picture the Music” put on by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
Good evening! I’m sure you guys are busy watching the Super Bowl but just wanted to send out the weekly schedule. Last regular season week for basketball.
Monday 2/13: HSGB @ East Prairie (varsity only) 6pm
Tuesday 2/14: HSBB @ Bell City 6pm.
Wednesday 2/15: HSGB @ St. Paul (Farmington) 6pm; HSBB @ Marquand (varsity only) 6pm
Thursday 2/16: HSGB @ Woodland 6pm.
Districts start 2/20 with the boys playing @ Bloomfield at 6pm vs Oran. Girls will travel to Naylor on Tuesday 2/21 for a match up with Couch at 5pm.

HSGB results. Lesterville topped us tonight 69-45. Nothing to hang our heads about though. We played extremely tough. I want to say congratulations and thank you to our 2 seniors. I appreciate the work you have put in this season and coming back and playing for me this year. I am so proud of you both! I hope you both had an amazing Senior Night.

We have updated our February breakfast & lunch menus due to the recent days missed. Menus were sent home with elementary students today. Secondary students can pick up a menu in the office. Mrs. Cato will be emailing an updated menu to all students tomorrow. The breakfast and lunch menu for tomorrow 2-7-23 will be sent out through Facebook, Remind and the District app at 5:15 pm.

Bus 6 (Mrs. Pam’s bus) had mechanical trouble this morning. She had to go back and get a different bus. She may be late picking up students and students may be a little late to school this morning.

I am going to go ahead and share the next two weeks with you. I know we have had some rescheduled games and I cannot honestly remember if I sent out all the changes so I hope this helps. As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
Monday 2/6: HSGB vs Scott City - Varsity only, Scott City does not have a JV team. JHVB will have a team meeting during advisory.
Tuesday 2/7: HSGB & HSBB @ Meadow Hts. Varsity girls will start at 4:30, JV boys, and final game will be varsity boys. Bus will leave at 3:30pm.
Wednesday 2/8: HSGB @ St. Vincent; 1/2 JV and full varsity, 6pm
Thursday 2/9: HSGB vs Lesterville 6pm; This will be girls Senior Night, Varsity Only.
JHVB starts practices. Practice will be after school until 5pm.
Friday 2/10: HSBB vs Saxony 6pm; This will be boys Senior Night. We will recognize Senior players right before the varsity game.
Monday 2/13: HSGB @ East Prairie; 6pm. Varsity only (they will let me know if they can do 2qtrs of JV)
Tuesday 2/14: HSBB @ Bell City JV/V 6pm
Wednesday 2/15: HSGB @ St. Paul (Farmington) 6pm; HSBB @ Marquand (varsity only) 6pm.
Thursday 2/16: HSGB @ Woodland JV/V 6pm
Friday 2/17: No Games (yet)
I am trying to get a date for the HSGB make up game vs Oran and will keep you posted.
District seed meetings will take place next week so I will have more information to share sometime this week. I will tell you district games will start on 2/20/23. Girls tournament will be held @ Naylor and boys will be playing at Bloomfield. I will keep you posted.

Also, congratulations to our boys varsity team on their 2nd place finish of the Scott Miss Conference Tournament and is the regular season champions. You all played hard and you should be proud.
