Just a little information regarding the boys and girls district tournament this week. If you have any questions, let me know. All admission tickets are $6, beginning at the age of 6. No passes are accepted with the exception of a MSHSAA Lifetime pass. The Passlist will be enforced. Continuous Standing: The following criteria shall be used when allowing continuous standing: 1. At least one empty row must serve as a buffer between the floor and the section(s) standing. No standing on the floor. 2. The student sections shall be specifically marked and separated (such as by rope, pennants or other barrier) from the general spectator seating areas. 3. The student sections shall be cleared out at the conclusion of each game for use by schools playing the next contest. 4. In the interest of sportsmanship and positive behavior, student sections shall be located directly across from their respective bench. 5. The student sections shall be placed in locations that minimize the obstruction of other patrons when the students stand in unison. 6. Sportsmanlike behavior is expected at all times from the student section. Additional Cheer and Fan Info: - A shirt must be worn for admittance and remain on the entire time. - Absolutely no laser lights will be allowed in the facilities. - Balloons, confetti, artificial noisemakers, whistles, cow bells, thunder sticks, and air horns are prohibited. - Stomping or jumping on the bleachers is prohibited. - Run Through Banners (only allowed by team personnel and sideline cheerleaders) - Megaphones and pom poms are only to be used by cheerleaders. - Shirt and shoes must be worn for admittance and remain on the whole time. - Pom pom, spirit/rally towels are allowed.

Good evening BlueJay fans! Here is this week’s schedule. Week of 2/19-2/24. Monday 2/19: No School/No Games Tuesday 2/20: HSBB District TRN @ South Iron vs St. Paul (Farmington) 6pm. Wednesday 2/21: HSGB District TRN @ SCC vs St Paul (Farmington) 7:30pm. Thursday 2/22: HSBB District TRN @ South Iron 6:45pm (if we win on 2/20) Friday 2/23: HSGB District TRN @ SCC Championship Game 6pm (if we win on 2/21). Saturday 2/24: HSBB District TRN @ South Iron Championship Game 2pm (if we win on 2/22). Good luck to both our boys and girls teams this week. Oak Ridge R-VI will release students at 1:00 pm today (2-16-24) due to forecasted incoming winter precipitation. Preschool students will need to be picked up by 1:00 pm. We will not have after school care.

The trip to Jeff City tomorrow for the junior class has been cancelled. The forecasted weather for Jefferson City tomorrow is just not favorable for a guaranteed safe trip.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Hope you are getting ready to have a great evening cheering on your favorite team (besides the BlueJays). Before it gets too late, here is the updated schedule for our last week of regular season basketball. Can't believe we are already here. Week of 2/12-2/16 Monday 2/12: NO SCHOOL; HSBB vs Zalma 5pm, varsity only; HSGB vs East Prairie, varsity only, 6:30pm Tuesday 2/13: HSBB Senior Night vs Bell City, JV/Varsity starting at 6pm. We will do the senior recognition right after the JV game. Wednesday 2/14: Happy Valentine's Day! No Games Thursday 2/15: HSGB vs Woodland 5pm, varsity only, HSBB vs Valle, varsity only 6:30pm. Friday 2/16: NO GAMES If anything changes, I will let you all know. I hope to see you all at the home games this week and good luck to both boys and girls teams.
